Professor Suzanne Wright has ten years experience in financial and managerial accounting including financial reporting, fixed asset accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost systems, and three years of Supply Chain at Corning, Inc. Before joining the Penn State faculty, she taught at North Carolina Wesleyan College and at Costal Carolina Community College. Professor Wright is the recipient of the 2000 and 2013 Lester L. Shonto Award for Excellence in Accounting Education.
Professor Wright reviewed exam questions and mentored item writers for six years for the CPA Exam and was an AICPA Instructor for CPA Continuing Education. She served on the American Accounting Association 2004 and 2005 Education Committees. She is co-author of the Test -Bank for the textbook Introduction to Accounting Systems and Controls by J. E. Ketz, developed a new financial accounting special topics course with significant Oil & Gas Accounting coverage, and returns to teach at Shichuan University, Chengdu, China, summer 2014 for the second year. Her most recent research involves Sustainability reporting.
