Shaun Knight is an instructor within the Management and Organization Department at the Smeal College of Business. Prior to his instructor position within Smeal he was the Director of Educational Leadership within Undergraduate Education and was also the Faculty Director of the Sapphire Leadership Program within the Smeal College of Business. His current responsibilities include teaching numerous academic courses, serving as co-Faculty Director for PMA (Professional Management Association), and actively participates with teams on business case competitions. Knight has also been globally engaged in strategic consulting work focused on career development, succession planning, and recruitment and retention. Shaun is the author of numerous publications and has worked in a consulting capacity with national and multi-national organizations throughout the world. Previously, Shaun was the Associate Director of Online Education and a Senior Instructor in Penn State's College of Information Sciences and Technology (IST), and the Director of Career Solutions for the College of Information Sciences and Technology at Penn State.
Current research involves the investigation of succession planning strategies within private firms with regard to enterprise architecture professionals.
