Jennifer joined the Smeal College of Business, as special events assistant for the Alumni Relations Office in June 2010. In that role, she was responsible for planning and executing events that support development and alumni relations, the Dean’s Office, as well as several other departments in the college.
In her current role as Director of Alumni Relations, Jennifer oversees the coordination of events, programs, and initiatives which connect more than 74,000 Smeal alumni back to the college. This includes opportunities for alumni to interact with current students, interface with fellow alumni, volunteer with Smeal alumni chapters and advisory boards, attend events, stay informed about the college, and engage in life-long learning activities. In addition, Jennifer manages the college’s Alumni Awards program, and supports nominations of alumni for recognition from the University.
Prior to joining Penn State and Smeal, Jennifer was the Director of Promotions and Community Relations for the State College Spikes.
Jennifer is co-chair of Smeal’s United Way Campaign, and enjoys volunteering for other community charities such as the Special Olympics of Centre County and Coaches vs. Cancer. She also coaches young gymnasts at a local gymnastics center.
Jennifer received her bachelor's degree in advertising-public relations from Penn State in 2006, where she was a member of the women’s gymnastics team.
She and her husband Loren (’00) reside in State College, Pennsylvania with their son Nathan.
