Ms. Metzger was admitted to practice law in the State of Ohio in 1977 and the State of California in 1978. She has served as in house counsel for several financial institutions and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. She has served as an observer to the Committee rewriting Articles 3 and 4 of the Uniform Commercial Code, and been a member of the State Bar of California's committees on Financial Institutions and the Uniform Commercial Code. Ms. Metzger was invited to serve on a committee of the World Bank studying insolvency of financial institutions. She has been a frequent lecturer in countries in Eastern Europe and emerging markets with an emphasis on banking and secured lending. She is currently an adjunct professor at the Dickinson School of Law at Penn State University as well as at the Smeal College of Business. Other teaching experience has included Southwestern School of Law in Los Angeles, California and the California State University at Los Angeles.
