Introduction
Professor Stephen Jablonsky has a continuing interest in the changing roles of financial management in corporate America. Over the last decade, Financial Executives International (FEI) has provided support for three major research projects on the changing roles of financial management: Changing Roles of Financial Management: Getting Close to the Business, Business Advocates or Corporate Policemen: Assessing Your Role as a Financial Executive, and Changing Roles of Financial Management: Integrating Strategy, Control, and Accountability. He is currently writing a new book, Business and Industry Analysis: Understanding Business through Financial Information, and developing a new course on business and industry analysis for all seniors in the college of business. Professor Jablonsky served as a Kellogg Foundation National Fellow from 1983 to 1987 and is still very active in Fellowship activities. He has been a faculty leader in numerous Penn State Executive Development Programs over the last twenty-seven years. He is past president and a continuing member of the Board of Directors of Strawberry Fields (1978-president), a nonprofit organization that provides community living arrangement for mental health and mental retardation clients.
Professor Jablonsky is a member of the American Accounting Association, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Association for the Application of Psychological Type, Financial Executives Institute, and Academy of Management. He has served as the Director of the American Symphony Orchestra League Management Information Systems Project (1977-79), the Pennsylvania Department of Aging Management Information Systems Project (1978-81), and the IBM Foundation Management Information Project Research.
