Introduction
Dr. Spychalski's teaching and research interests focus on the transportation components of logistics/supply chain systems, including the management, economics, public policy, and history of transport, and management of the procurement of transport services. Dr. Spychalski has authored articles, chapters in books, and papers on a wide range of topcis within the transport sphere, and has been a presenter of papers and a panelist at professional meetings and seminars in the United States, Canada, Hungary, and Sweden. Dr. Spychalski served as chairman of the Department of Business Logistics within Penn State's Smeal College of Business Administration from July 1982 through June 1998.
