Introduction

Dr. Harrison has published and presented over 150 articles, book chapters, editorial reviews, monographs, and papers -- dealing with a) work role adjustment, b) time, c) executive judgment and decision making, and d) measurement in organizations. He is a Fellow of the American Psychological Society and the Society for Industrial-Organizational Psychology. He has also been a National Science Foundation Fellow, and has received many research honors, including Best Paper awards in 1991, 1992, 1995, and 2002 from the Research Methods division of the Academy of Management, and International Best Paper in 1995 from the Academy of Management as a whole. His papers have also been finalists for the Rosabeth Moss Kanter Award for Excellence in Work-Family Research, the Dorothy Harlow Best Paper Award in the Gender and Diversity division, and the William Owens Scholarly Achievement Award from the Society for Industrial-Organizational Psychology (SIOP). He is currently Editor of Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes and serves on the editorial boards of Academy of Management Journal (where he was also a guest editor), and Organizational Research Methods, and he has served on the boards of other journals, inc

Current Research

Dr. Harrison is currently studying the trajectory of work and cultural adjustment for those posted to (expatriates) and returning from (repatriates) international assignments. He is also working on theories about the nature and effects of different forms of diversity in work teams over time.
