Ms. Carolyn Todd joined Penn State in 1997 after 23 years of operations and marketing experience in both non-profit and business organizations. Her most recent business position was Product Market Manager for a $130 million software business unit at Telcordia Technologies (formerly Bellcore), a software and engineering firm that services the communications industry. Prior to that position, Ms. Todd played a critical role in helping to commercialize this company and in building a professional marketing and sales organization. She was a critical player in the development of Telcordia's strategic marketing plan, and was responsible for the marketing and sales due diligence process when the company was sold in 1997 to Science Applications International Corporation. In addition to her eight years of marketing experience at Telcordia, Ms. Todd worked for Verizon Communications in both line and staff operations positions for five years, and also has ten years' experience in fundraising and management for non-profit organizations.
Ms. Todd is a passionate Penn State football fan. For more than two decades, she and her late husband Terry traveled to watch the Penn State football team wherever they played: home, away, and bowl games. She writes a blog about her experiences entitled View from the Stands-Penn State Football. She is also a serious amateur photographer, and serves as the Publicity Director for the State College Photo Club.
