Title: "What Your Owner's Manual Doesn't Tell You: Tips and Advice on Car Ownership"
Presenter: William J. DeBoer (Bill Jr.), '97 Management, is Co-owner and Vice President at DeBoer's Auto. As the company’s General Manager, Bill has been responsible for bringing innovations in daily operations to the full-service, high-tech auto repair facility for 20+ years. Today, Bill runs business development, sales, service department, process improvement, human resources, and technician education programs at the company his father founded over three decades ago. Bill is an expert in automotive technology operations with a number of nationally recognized credentials.
Having a car or truck has long been part of the American dream as it gives us the freedom to get to work per our own scheduling, run the kids around and maybe even occasionally cruise the open roads on a joy ride. However, cars are machines and like all machines, cars sometimes don't work the way they are supposed to or are otherwise put out of commission. The check engine light may come on, fluids may go low or need changed, and car parts do wear out from consistent use. Unfortunately, car owners are also sometimes faced with the aftermath of a car accident. To best handle situations in which an owner's car is not operating in its optimal state (or not operating at all), it is important that all car owners know a great "car guy". A "car guy" is someone who can be relied upon for good, solid and straight-forward information regarding car repairs, dealing with the aftermath of a car accident (including how to work with insurance companies) and getting the best deal when purchasing a car.
Also, find out what Bill has to say about Tesla and their new car that even Wall Street is talking about!
